You CAN still register for 2010 Houston Marathon!

CanCare, one of the “Run for a Reason” charities benefiting from the 2010 Chevron Houston Marathon and Aramco Houston Half Marathon, reported today that it has about 50 spots that were available only to charities — and now they are available to the public!

The Team CanCare website has all the details about registering for one of those spots.

Here is a brief description of the charity taken from the CanCare website:

Cancer survivors of more than 50 different types of cancer volunteer for CanCare to provide emotional support to those currently facing a battle with cancer. A patient is matched with a CanCare volunteer for one-on-one emotional support based on a variety of criteria including cancer site, treatments, age and gender.

Although I registered for 2010 without CanCare’s help, again in January I will be running for Team CanCare. It is one of many deserving charities in the “Run for a Reason” program.

If CanCare has “sold” all of its spots by the time that you read this, then check the “Fundraising for Registration” page to see whether you can register through another charity.
