Gratitude for Parks
Do you love parks? I do. Even better, I’m fortunate to live in a city with a fantastic one: Memorial Park, in Houston, Texas.
I walked this past Saturday in Memorial Park Conservancy‘s annual 4-mile fund-raiser race. I video-recorded it with a Kodak Zi8 and a GoPro Hero 3+ Silver Edition (which I set to take a picture every five seconds between the start line and the finish line).

“4 the Park Brunch Run” was the new name this year. It points to the fact that the post-race food is enough for a brunch!

As I cover in Gratitude Power for Runners and Walkers, city parks give us runners and walkers a lot for which to be grateful.

I don’t know as I write this where you live. But, no matter where that is, I encourage you to support the parks that make your running and walking more enjoyable.

Gratitude is essential to your happiness as a runner, walker, or run:walk athlete.

I am grateful for Memorial Park. For which park are you especially grateful? Why? Please leave a comment below!
